An investigation of the collocation and the least squares method for solution of boundary value problems for the Navier - Stokes and Poisson equations

A new version of the collocation and least squares (CLS) method is proposed and implemented. The dependence of method's properties on its parameters (coordinates of collocation points, coordinates of matching conditions points on cells' boundaries, weight parameters of equations) is investigated. Essential dependence of smoothness and accuracy of the approximate solution and of other properties of the proposed method on the parameters is observed. It is shown that the research of that kind is necessary.
