Application of the Line-By-Line recurrence method with variable compensation parameter for solving finite-difference elliptical equations

An algorithm of a line-by-line iteration recurrence method is proposed for solving a five-diagonal matrix system of linear algebraic equations (SLAE) that arises from difference approximation of the two-dimensional equations of a viscous fluid as well as heat transfer equations. A test problem is solved by modified line-by-line method and the line-by-line recurrence method with both constant and variable compensation parameters. The efficiency of the variable compensation parameter used is analyzed in comparison with a constant compensation parameter.
