A Hamiltonian regularization of shallow water waves

In this talk, I will demonstrate our approach towards constructing a slightly regularized version of the hyperbolic system of nonlinear shallow water equations. The particularity of our approach is that we succeed in regularizing solutions without introducing nor dispersion neither dissipation. Moreover, the regularized system formally possesses the energy conservation law as long as the Hamiltonian formulation. The numerical behaviour and mathematical properties of the obtained system will be highlighted within the limits of our modest understanding.
